Recognition Should Be More Than a Moment
The Hidden Warriors Foundation believes that recognizing extraordinary people is only the beginning. Through the Giving Forward Initiative, we are working to turn recognition into opportunity by investing in young people who demonstrate the spirit of a Hidden Warrior and by providing meaningful support to those whose service and impact deserve to be honored.
These programs are being built from the ground up. With the support of donors, sponsors, partners, and people who believe in our mission, we hope to establish two annual opportunities that will allow recognition to reach even further.
The Hidden Warriors Future Leaders Scholarship
Investing in Potential
The Hidden Warriors Future Leaders Scholarship was created to invest in individuals who are determined to move forward, including those whose potential may not be reflected by traditional measures of academic achievement or by a traditional life path.
We believe leadership, determination, resilience, character, compassion, personal growth, and potential cannot always be measured by a grade point average, diploma, or past circumstances.
Future Leaders may be graduating high school students, GED recipients, adults returning to education, individuals pursuing skilled trades or professional certifications, or people rebuilding their lives after previous setbacks. A nontraditional educational history, lower academic performance, or prior criminal conviction does not, by itself, disqualify an applicant.
Scholarship opportunities may support qualifying college and community college programs, trade and vocational schools, technical education, occupational and professional certifications, licensing programs, GED education and testing, workforce training, and other legitimate educational or skills-development pathways.
The purpose of this scholarship is not simply to reward where someone has been. It is to invest in where they are determined to go.
The Annual Hidden Warrior Recognition Award
Honoring Impact Today
Each Hidden Warrior recognized by the Foundation represents a story worth telling. Through the Giving Forward Initiative, The Hidden Warriors Foundation is working toward establishing an annual recognition award honoring an exceptional Hidden Warrior whose service, compassion, courage, sacrifice, or leadership has created meaningful and lasting impact.
Recipients of the Annual Hidden Warrior Recognition Award will be selected from among Hidden Warriors formally recognized by the Foundation. This special recognition is intended to go beyond telling their story. As funding allows, our goal is to accompany the honor with a meaningful financial award, allowing the Foundation and its supporters to say in a tangible way, “We see you. We appreciate you. What you did mattered.”
The Annual Hidden Warrior Recognition Award is currently in development and has not yet been funded. Its launch, award structure, selection process, and inaugural recognition year will be announced once sufficient funding and program guidelines have been established.
