Catiana Aguzma | Orlando FL
Jones High School student Catiana Aguzma spent part of her 2026 summer volunteering with Rebounding Inc., which operates a writing and civics summer program for middle-school students. Instead of simply enjoying her own school break, Catiana helped younger students strengthen communication skills, learn how local government works, and understand how they can contribute to their communities. She worked alongside longtime educator Kenda Smith in preparing students for the coming school year.
Why This Hidden Warrior Was Nominated
Catiana represents young people who choose to give their time to other young people. Her contribution demonstrates leadership through service rather than position.
